Surcharges now print on the receipt
0:00The printed receipt now gives every seating and time charge its own line, and the GST line includes the tax on that charge too. So when you add up the receipt's lines, you get exactly the total.
At the end, the video also shows three fixes to the floor plan and QR codes.
Seating charge vs time charge
0:21A surcharge is a charge on top of your menu prices, and it comes in two kinds. A seating charge depends on the place, for example ₹40 per guest in a private room. A time charge depends on the day and time, for example 5% of the bill from Friday to Sunday.
These charges apply only to table orders: always on the POS and the waiter app, and on table QR too if you choose. Never on takeaway, delivery or the kiosk.
A surcharge counts as part of the food, so it gets the same GST as the food.
Where to set up surcharges
0:58In the left menu go to Tables & Floor, then Surcharges. The full rules are written at the top.
Then four cards: how many rules are active, how much money they brought in over the last 30 days, how many bill lines they created, and how many were waived. In this example the restaurant has no rules yet.
WhereTables & Floor → Surcharges
Add a private room seating charge
1:17Press + New rule at the top. First an internal name that only you see. Then the area: the list shows your own floor plan's floors, and this example picks Private Room.
Charge type: per guest, amount 40. Day and time: leave it on Any day, All day. Then the name the guest sees on the receipt: Private room seating. Save rule.
WhereTables & Floor → Surcharges → + New rule
Add a weekend charge
1:41Press + New rule again and give it a name. Leave the area on All areas, so it applies at every table. Charge type: percent of bill, and 5.
Untick Any day and switch Monday to Thursday off, leaving Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Time: all day. Receipt name: Weekend charge. Save.
WhereTables & Floor → Surcharges → + New rule
Check a table with the simulator
2:04Both rules now appear in the list: where, when, how much, and under what name.
Below the list is the simulator: what a guest sitting down right now would pay. Area Private Room, day Friday, 4 guests, bill 1,200. The answer: Private room seating, 40 × 4 = 160. Weekend charge, 5% of 1,200 = 60. Total surcharge 220.
WhereTables & Floor → Surcharges → simulator
The simulator updates instantly
2:31Change any rule and the simulator changes the same moment. Pause the weekend rule and that line disappears from the simulator at once; the total surcharge is now just 160. Before, the old answer stayed here for up to five minutes.
Resume it and 220 is back. A new order on the POS also picks up its charges from this fresh calculation.
Take a table order on the POS
2:53Now a real order. On the floor plan, pick the Private Room tab at the top, tap table P1, and Create order. The table is already selected, and this restaurant requires a phone number for dine-in, so enter the guest's number. From this restaurant's menu, four items: Paneer Tikka, Paneer Bhurji, Mushroom Duplex and two Plain Naan. The food comes to 1,200.
In the order summary on the right are the guests, and below them the charges that apply at this table. It starts at one guest; press + to make it four. Now Private room seating shows 160 and Weekend charge 60, exactly what the simulator said. Place order.

Every charge on the order page
3:35On the order page too, every charge has its own line. Subtotal 1,200. Private room seating 160. Weekend charge 60. GST 71, which is 5% on both the food and the charges. Total 1,491.
The printed receipt with surcharges
3:51Press Print receipt at the top. The bill isn't paid yet, so this prints a proforma slip, and this is where the change is. Below the subtotal, both charges are on their own lines. Then the GST line, CGST + SGST, ₹71, with the tax on the charges included. At the bottom the total, 1,491, with an Unpaid stamp.
At the very bottom is a line for the guest: these are seating and time charges, not a service charge or tip.
WhereOrder page → Print receipt
Before vs now: the receipt adds up
4:20Before, the slip showed a subtotal of 1,200 and only the food's GST, 60, but a total of 1,491 at the bottom. What the remaining 231 rupees was for wasn't written anywhere on the slip.
Now: 1,200 + 160 + 60 + 71 = exactly 1,491. Every rupee has its own line, so the guest doesn't have to ask.
Take payment and print the bill
4:46Press the rupee button at the top, Mark Payment Received. Choose Cash and Confirm payment.
Press Print receipt again on the paid order and this is now the real bill, with the bill number at the top: the same two charges, the same GST, the same total, and Paid via cash at the bottom.
Once the bill is made, these charges are frozen into it. Even if you change a rule tomorrow, today's receipt prints the same.

The bill in Bills and Receipts
5:14This bill is in your records too. In the left menu, open Bills & Receipts, then All bills. Among today's bills, this one is at the top. Open it and the screen shows the same two charges on their own lines and the same calculation, top to bottom.

Three floor-plan and QR fixes
5:30Three quick fixes. One: every QR printed with Print all now carries the table name. Two: fixture handles can now be grabbed, so you can drag to resize. Three: when you delete a floor, its fixtures go with it.
Print All QR codes now carry the table name
5:48In Tables & Floor, open QR codes. Print all tables at the top gives one sheet with every table's QR and the table name below each one. Under that is the link inside the QR.
Look at the end of the link: name=T01. Earlier, the Print all link didn't have this part.
WhereTables & Floor → QR codes → Print all tables
What the guest sees on their phone
6:07When the menu opened from an old Print all QR, the top of the guest's phone said Ordering for your table. With the new QR it says Ordering for T01, along with Dine in, T01. The order always went to the right table, but now the guest also knows for sure which table they are ordering from.
If you printed QRs with Print all before, print them once more.
Just below that, as soon as the guest opens the menu, they see that the weekend charge applies at this table right now: the same surcharge, on the QR menu too.
Resize and rotate fixtures on the floor plan
6:41In Tables & Floor, open Floor plan and press Unlock Layout at the top so the map can be changed. To try it, make a new floor: + Add floor, name it Terrace, and Create floor. Bottom right are the fixtures: wall, door, stairs, counter, bar. Drag one to the middle of the canvas and zoom in a little.
Click the bar: small square handles appear all round it, and a round handle on top. Before, grabbing these moved the whole bar without changing its size. Now drag a corner handle and the bar gets longer and wider. An edge handle changes only the length. The round handle on top rotates the bar to any angle.
WhereTables & Floor → Floor plan → Unlock Layout → Fixtures
Delete a floor with its fixtures
7:28To remove this Terrace, press the cross on its tab. The message now spells it out: Terrace, its zero tables and its one fixture will all be deleted. Delete floor. Before, the bar would land on the first floor in a case like this. Now Main Hall has no stray bar. Finally, Lock layout.
So: set up surcharges in Tables & Floor, Surcharges, and check them with the simulator. The receipt does the rest, with every charge on its own line.
