See who the customer is on every order
0:00Every order now tells you who the customer is: here for the first time, or one of your regulars.
A customer orders a takeaway by phone, and there's a new cashier at the counter. How would they know this is the customer's fifth order this month? Now, as soon as the number is entered, a small badge tells them.
First time: New customer. Back again: for example, 3rd order in 30 days. Five or more in 30 days: Regular, with a flame icon. And someone returning after a long gap: Back after, with the number of days.
The badge on New Order
0:31Press + New Order at the top. Type Takeaway, and start typing the customer's phone number. The list below shows the name with the number, here Aarav; pick it. The name fills in, and right below it is the new badge: 5th order in 30 days, Regular.
The count includes this order: Aarav has ordered four times in the last 30 days and this is the fifth. Beside it: lifetime orders, when he last came, and his average bill.

Place the order
1:04Now the items. Type paneer in search and Paneer Tikka goes into the cart; then garlic, and Garlic Naan too. Both items are in the order summary; press Place order at the bottom. The order is placed and its page opens.
On the Orders page: tap for lifetime, last visit, average bill
1:19On the Orders page, Aarav's order is in the Takeaway queue below, and the card carries the same badge: 5th order. Click the badge and a small card opens: Lifetime orders, Last visit and Avg ticket. View customer takes you straight to the full profile.
Delivery cards carry the same badge.

On orders waiting for approval
1:39Orders that come in from the kiosk or the website and wait for approval always show this line on their card, even when the card is collapsed.
Here Aarav has just placed another order from the kiosk, his 6th in 30 days. So before you accept it, you already know this is a returning customer.

How the count works
1:58The counting rules are simple. One: the order showing the badge counts itself. Two: cancelled or voided orders are not counted. Three: it covers the last 30 days, measured from that order's time. Four: walk-ins with no phone number get no badge. Five: the average bill shows only to people with permission to see financial figures.
So on New Order, on the Orders page's takeaway and delivery cards, and on approval cards, one glance tells you who the customer is.
