Take the order before the guest is seated
0:00A dine-in order no longer needs a table first. Take the order now and the table later.
It's rush hour. The hall is full and four guests are at the door waiting for a table. They know what they want and want to order now. Before, the POS asked for a table first: no table, no order.
Now you take the order straight away, the kitchen starts cooking at once, and as soon as a table frees up you seat the order at it. And if the guest eats at the counter and leaves, you don't need to give a table at all.
Skip — seat later on New Order
0:33Press + New Order at the top and choose Dine-in. In the middle is Step 1, select a table, but now there's a new button at the top: Skip — seat later. The categories also show on the left, and tapping any category also skips the table and opens the menu straight away.
Press Skip and the menu opens. On the right, the table line says Not assigned yet. Next to it is Pick table: if you change your mind, pick a table from there and the cart stays as it is.

Place a dine-in order with no table
1:04Now the customer's phone number: pick the name from the list and it fills in. Then the items: paneer in search puts Paneer Tikka in the cart, then garlic for Garlic Naan. Both are in the order summary; press Place order at the bottom. The order is placed, without a table.
Kitchen screen: Dine-in, no table yet
1:24The order reaches the kitchen screen at the same moment. The ticket says Dine-in but has no table number, because no table has been given yet.
The chef accepts it and cooking starts, while the guests are still at the door.
The "needs a table" lane on the Orders page
1:38On the Orders page, all the tables in the floor plan at the top are still free: this order isn't on any table. Scroll down to a separate lane: Dine-in · needs a table. Every dine-in order without a table shows here. The card shows the order number, the customer's name, the items and the amount.
Even before it has a table, everything can be done from here: add items, KOT, receipt or settle.

Assign a free table later
2:07When table T04 frees up and the guests sit down, press Assign table on the card. A list of only the free tables opens. Pick T04. The order leaves the lane, and with nothing left in it, the lane disappears. On the floor plan at the top, T04 is now occupied: the same order, the same amount.
On the kitchen screen the same ticket now shows the table too: Dine-in · T04. So as soon as the food is ready, the kitchen knows which table it goes to.

Or complete it with no table at all
2:39Giving a table isn't required either. In this second order the guest had tea and a burger at the counter and paid up front, and the kitchen has finished the food. The card says Paid and has a green button: Mark complete. Press it and the order closes, with no table at all.
This is on in every restaurant by itself, with no setting: Skip on New Order, assign a table from the new lane on the Orders page, or complete the order without a table.
